“Bay Area" California | USA Series

Oh, SUMMER 2017! You are one of the unforgettable. Lots of things happened this year. One of those is that, I travelled to the United States of America for the first time. Like all the “first time explorers”, we got carried away by all the places we want to visit in a short period of time. It was indeed fun and crazy! Let me share to you the places I have been.

Bay Area has so much to offer! They have cool climate which makes this place an awesome area to visit year-round. It is known for it's lifestyle, politics and techy side.

First stop, SFO!

It’s a dream come true to see and walk through the golden gate in San Francisco. This tourist spot is definitely on the top of my bucket list. We stayed here for 2 days and 1 night.

Upon arriving, we jumped into exploring – one of the things that I love the most since I am an Adventurer type. We went from our hotel to the golden bridge by foot. It took us until sundown and unluckily, we got lost.

If you have read our previous blog post in this #USseries, you will know that we often, if not always, get lost. It was funny, though! Unfortunately, with this one, we got really LOST.

No sight of neither roads nor taxi. It was scary.

I got scared, but we were altogether. So, we went on and on until one patrol car went to check on us. He asked us a lot of questions and perhaps… sympathetic, he gave us a ride to the nearest landmark we remember because we even forgot the name of our hotel. It was indeed, embarrassing but grateful. We owe police officer Manuelhuge appreciation for the service.

On the next day, we went to walk through on the Golden Bridge. This time, conquering my fear of heights. It was not easy but it was worth it.

We treated ourselves with good food at the FISHERMAN’S WHARF. Delish!

We went to THE PALACE OF FINE ARTS and NATIONAL RECREATIONAL AREA.

Second stop, Monterey Bay!

This place has a very relaxing vibe into it. The only thing that you should be aware of are the birds. They can flock around you if you feed them food. So, beware!

Third stop, Hearst Castle!

This Mansion is incredible! It is also occupied which we didn’t expect.

Check the history of this place here

This was the last stop before we went seperate ways. All in all, I can say that the trip here was amazing. The weather played a huge part and I loved it there.

Travel Tips:

Prepare for the weather. Bring a jacket.

Wear comfy clothing and shoes. There is going to be a lot of walking.

Next stop, Los Angeles!

Thank you for reading.

XO,

Miss K
